TheElite
I am registered on Microsoft Connect because I was a previous tester for them on several other products. I forgot I was a member of Connect when Beta 1 of Vista came out. But now, all of you that recieved your beta from Microsoft, did you get an Invitation ID from Microsoft, or was vista visible in the Available programs area? Sammyinnit
I doubt very much it was visible on Available programs.
John Veteran Posted September 17, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 17, 2005 The "Available Programs" are other betas that are open to joining by the public, meaning anyone can register and sign up for them without an invitation. By now, I'm pretty sure all the Vista testers have started the beta. What does the Connect site show as the status of your participation?
TheElite
i havent got a status because i have not enrolled yet in any beta, but there is the compute cluster beta visible in the "available programs".

I8PP
By registering at Betaplace/Connect, you just put your name in a vast pool of potential testers for MS Beta teams to choose from. It does not guarantee you will get in anything, and if you do get in something you will hear about it via email.

M118LR
There is a Beta at Beta.Microsoft.com that you can try for. It's called OneCare. They are looking to expand the program. You do need a Passport to get in though. It's a foot in the door.
M118LR
I'm sorry I didn't notice you are from France. I beleive OneCare is still USA only but it will open up to outside USA at some point so you can still try.
