It's funny how everyone who has a non-legit copy is using Pro.

You can use Home you know, it takes a bit more work however :devil:

I understand why some agree not to pay for software for certain reasons,

ex.. costs too much, don't got the money, your a kid, don't support the company, etc etc.. ;)

Unfortunately no, I'm still a high school student and my school isn't paying that much for software. I might be able to get one though for about 40 euro's or something... but the xbox360 comes first.

Yes both are.

If you think you cannot afford it, buy a student and parent and teachers version, they are pretty cheap.

I own a legit copy of Windows XP Professional (Retail) but I format very often... sometimes more than 30 days, sometimes multiple times in a day, sometimes I have it running in Virtual PC. Activation gets very cumbersome, so I've left my retail copy/key on the shelf and am using a corporate version. So it's a yes & no, I guess it's not a legit Copy, but I have a legit license which is the important thing.

i have legit copies of Windows XP but the first thing i do when i get a laptop is reinstall the OS to get rid of all the crap OEM installs, on my other computer i installed a non legit version even though i have a legit one sitting somewhere in my bookshelf..... :p
