I live in Egypt, so NO!

Its pricy enough that I buy my hardware from France/UK/states!

I can't afford buying a legit copy of windows and in Egypt, trust me....we're lucky 20% of the population know what a computer is!!

I use an illigitimate ****** copy of XP SP2. The reason why I HAVEN'T bought a legit version is activation. I format my PC and upgrade like a biatch. Seriously, my lifestyle doesn't LET me have a XP Pro retail or OEM. Think about it.

That's because the "leaked" corporate edition (Devil's Own) was an XP Pro edition. That is what most illegal copies came from........... at least in the beginning.......  :ninja:

I have 2 legit copies of XP Pro, but I've installed them on more than 2 computers (all the machines are mine, though). So it's quazi-legal. I can't afford $250+ for each computer, so it was move to Linux or bypass activation a few times.... :ninja:

Peace,

Pete Zaria.

Does the "quasi" prefix have some unknown definition that means "not"?

You have two legal installs, and one not legal.

Should have been a poll option for "some not". Oh well... :p

2 Windows XP Pro lisences - $0

2 Windows XP Home lisences - $0

But right now I'm using Windows XP MCE 2005 which I don't have a legit xp lisence for but Windows Update and all still works so I'm not complaining. - $0

No. When XP first came out I grabbed a legit Home Edition copy, then the CD broke so I phoned around everywhere, including Microsoft and asked for a replacement CD and they wouldn't offer it to me, so screw them if they're going to be like that and muck me around.

I dont see why, the cd means noting to MS your paying for the Product Key/activation. So you could just downloadf the same version as you bought and use your legit key.
