i find it interesting how we got about a half/half on the Professional side :)

but yeh... seems that, overall, we got more legal people than illegal :) that's a nice thing!

PS.: who goes warez for the HOME version?! if you're gonna go illegal... do it GOOD lol

I used to run dodgy Windwos on all my machines, but as I am not as poor as I used to be and you can pick up liscences reasonably , and WGA is a ballache (although circumventable, its easier to not have to)

Yes and no ...

I bought Windows XP Pro OEM with my computer but I upgraded alot. Finally Microsoft refused to Activate my copy which angered me. I paid for a copy and I never loaded it on any other computer but Microsoft treated me like a pirate because I blew a network card, upgraded three hard drives as my data files grew and grew and replaced my CPU/motherboard because of blown capacitors.

So I loaded a copy of Windows XP Pro VLK with a license number made with one of the keygens from the Internet.

When Microsoft changed Windows Update to lock out anyone with a bad license number I took another piece of software that reads the license number to my local library and ran it on a workstation there, copied the number and changed my Windows XP to use this number.

So, I paid for Windows XP Pro OEM but am using Windows XP Pro VLK from my City's volume license and I don't feel bad about it at all!!
