jasondefaoite
Just wondering if anyone has tested iTunes m4a files (the non DRM ones) with media player in Vista yet. Does it work?

Angel Blue01
Its an Apple codec. Maybe with third party codecs...
Brandon Live Veteran Posted September 18, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 18, 2005 I don't see why it would work any differently than Media Player on XP.
jasondefaoite
Reason I'm asking is i've a lot of songs ripped to aac from cd. If I were to use media center in vista, it would need to be compatible with this. Its an Apple codec. Maybe with third party codecs... 586544118[/snapback] Actually it isn't an apple codec. The DRM sitting on top of the store purchased music is from Apple, but the codec itself is from dolby i believe. MS could license this without a worry. There is a 3rd party plug in which allows Media Player (and hence the MCE portion) on XP to play aac files, but there is some issue with the album art. Anyways here's hoping MS "add" this functionality.
