HeartsOfWar
Well to be quite honest, the media and the rest of the OpenGL community have a lot to worry about. They have legit concerns, because Microsoft constantly tries to play outside the box of 'sharing'. They did it with Internet Explorer (Trying to integrate windows with IE to the point that they practically depend on each other), and now they're trying to do it again with DirectX. Microsoft should have the Win32 API 'wrap' DirectX / OpenGL... This way, running both graphic libraries will have the same possible performance results. By having DirectX 'wrap' OpenGL, OpenGL will suffer some performance hit which will cause the market for OpenGL games to drop, and possibly hurt 'Cross-Platform' production... chavo
I find a little warm water and a mild detergent are the best for cleaning up my RAM. Dawn. It cleans your dishes and manages your memory!

They would be limiting what they could do and making it harder on themselves and the code more liable to instability by coding it around using DirectX OR OpenGL.
