Captain Phatty
I have a custom built computer with a new ABIT KR7A-133A motherboard. It has DDR RAM slots, and I put 3 256MB RAM chips in it. All the RAM chips are ok, since the system will boot fine with each RAM chip in seperatly. But if all 3 are in, only two are seen. No errors on boot or anything, but it only sees two. Any ideas of what it could be?
Sparticus
there could be a problem if the RAM chips are all not of the same brand. They can occasionally have problems working together if this is the case.
Roger H. Veteran Posted July 13, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 13, 2002 well sadly Abit has a problem with more than 2 DIMM slots populated at the sametime. Not all memory chips will work. Update your BIOS if you can and see if that helps, if not then join the pack and wait for the updates.
