Vista question

i have downloaded the windows vista 5219, it's 2.73 Gb...do i need dvd burner or i can just burn on Cd-R with the reguler burner..but the problem with Cd-R i have is I have 700MB Cd-R disc's ...how do i burn the complete iso image on Cd-R.Plz help

as he said, you can't fit 2.73GB on a CD.. no you can't break the image either because only the unaltered image will install. So get a friend with a dvd burner and you'll be all set.

You can't burn the DVD image onto a CD-R, however you can still install it by mounting the ISO with Daemon Tools (or other virtual cd software) and install it that way. Setup will copy all the files needed before the first reboot and the disc will no longer be required.

But for the sake of keeping a hard copy, you'll need a DVD burner of some sort.

They need more real beta testers like this. As a software developer, I find actual every day users to be the best testers, not power users.

Assuming that this build should only be in the hands of developers and registered beta testers, and this "developer" thinks he can get 2+ GB on a CD-R, I'd say yes it is definitely "warez." :ninja:

In any case, yeah, you need a DVD as there are no CDs even remotely capable.
