Ok boys and girls it is true Build 5219 did come with better LDDM drivers and in order to get them to work use these Regs. :D

DWORD UseDPIScaling- 0 = Use XPbitmap scaling; 1 = Use Avalon Scaling

DWORD Animations- 0 = no animation; 1 = use animations

DWORD Glass- 0 = Aero eXpress; 1 = Aero Glass

DWORD AnimationsShiftKey- 0 = disable; 1 = enable

DWORD MagnificationPercent- Decimal value = percentage to scale windows by

DWORD EnableMachineCheck- 0 = Disable; 1 = Enable (in order for DWM effects to work with stock 5219 drivers this has to be disabled)

Do u have EnableMachineCheck disabled? Cause if not it wont work, i mean thats what i did was disabled it and it all worked for me. And are u using build 5219, and are u using suplemental drivers.

lol...i know not to include the dash. :p I made a new user and logged into that new account and everything is working fine. There seems to be something weird with the Admin account for some people. Yes, I was using the suplimental drivers for my 6600GT, yes I am using 5219 ;)

I presume if machinecheck is set to 0 , then all of the otehr stuff is enabled by default, so adding those keys wont add any extra effects ?

So...what exactly do these reg edits give us that we don't already have?

Ok, in the vista build 5219 when u install the supplemental drivers everyone goes OMG there not LDDM and they download the 75.03 drivers, When in fact they are LDDM drivers with more performance, all u have to do is put those registry settings in after installing the supplemental drivers with build 5219, and ull get all the great animations, and glassy look with performace as opposse to the the stock nvidia 75.03 drivers.

Ok when u install Vista beta 1 refresh(build 5219) it asks u if u want to install drivers that came with Vista. Those are called supplemental drivers.

This whole thread is misleading. The machine check only works on 5048. It doesn't do anything on the post Beta 1 builds. I don't know what "stock" drivers are either.

The theme in post Beta 1 and Beta 1 is Aero Express. We won't see the full Aero Glass until beta 2. So your description is wrong. The Glass key turns DWM on or off and does the same thing as Ctrl+Shift+F9. You are seeing Aero Express with the Glass key "on" and a plain old Xp like theme called "Metal" with Glass "off." This key does nothing in 5219.
