Kr0z
I still have IE and FF on my PC but find that Opera has now become my #2 browser after IE. Very happy with it. You?
Shane Pitman
No. Certain sites that I frequent don't load correctly in Opera and the UI isn't configurable enough to suit me, particularly the arranging of tabs and other parts of the UI. Slimy
nope, it has too much "stuff" that I won't ever use, i like simple and ie is simple enough for now, until i see something better.

Pox
i'll be sticking with firefox forever... i love the huge community and availability of plugins... also the security is great. after using IE7, i must say microsoft are almost vaguely somewhere near catching up with the tabs... but its still... well... microsoft. i just love using open source. firefox! mmm and i love gazing at the logo next to the title bar that says neowin.net. mmmm neowin + firefox. karmakillernz
I've switched to it - from Opera 8.0. :)
CrisCr0ss
its all prefrence on ma old comp its opera on ma new one its firefox just the way i feel.. the extensions give it a bonus ill just compare 1.5/2.0 (firefox) to opera 9 and that will be my decision maker as i here opera adding extensions.. markwolfe Veteran Posted September 21, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 21, 2005 Partially. I like a lot of how it works so far. In about a week of use I will know whether Firefox or Opera becomes my primary browser.
icecaveman
Firefox should still be in BETA it's so buggy, at least Opera works as it should.
naap51stang
Nope........I don't need a "suite", just a browser, which is why I use FF. I have nothing against Opera, it's a great browser "suite", but I just don't need an email and news reader, just a browser :alien:
Pox
Firefox should still be in BETA it's so buggy, at least Opera works as it should. i hate to disagree with you there, Fx 1 - 1.06 have been working perfectly fine for me, its often the plugins that are buggy ;)

+virtorio MVC Posted September 21, 2005 MVC Share Posted September 21, 2005 Nope........I don't need a "suite", just a browser, which is why I use FF.I have nothing against Opera, it's a great browser "suite", but I just don't need an email and news reader, just a browser :alien: 586555725 You know they don't make you use the extra functionality, you could simply try not clicking on the e-mail and newsgroup buttons. I've switched to it - from Opera 8.0. Same here.
Dan.Varga
I downloaded it and its not a bad browser. However I am not a huge fan of the UI. It has a little too much extra functionality. I like my browser to browse and thats it. Not a bad product but I would give it a second chance once the next version comes out with an updated (and hopefully better) UI. I prefer Outlook for email and I don't use usenet, and unless you actually use them, you'd never know they're there. Infact, the only reference I see to them is "Tools > Mail & Chat Accounts". Anyway, it's not like the extra features are taking up any more space (Opera is smaller than Firefox), or slowing it down (Opera is fast). :)
ATLien_0
opera can make it free, they can change what ever they want, but im still sticking with Firefox (cleaner UI, Easier to use and thunderbird integration)

How is Opere any less simple? opera can make it free, they can change what ever they want, but im still sticking with Firefox (cleaner UI, Easier to use and thunderbird integration) 586555782 Integrated? huh? Well, thunderbird uses the firefox engine (gecko), yeah.. but that's about it.

soldier1st
i use it as my main browser,i just upgraded from 8.02 to 8.5 and i must say i like it,no more keygen needed to get rid of the ads.
greg098
I like opera because its very different from the other browers. Firefox is more like netscape, internet explorer is more like bloated and slow, opera is different from all of them...its cleaner and seems faster.
