craybox
i've just been lucky enough to buy a nice Powermac G5 Dual 2.3Ghz included is the X850XT 256MB DDR3 graphics card. What is the advantage of having this card, are there actually any games that the MAC has that will take advantage of it ? or is it just for supporting dual monitors at high resolutions ? thanks
drshdw
DOOM 3. RAMDAC is what helps the card display high resolutions, I think.

Joswin
Wouldnt you have been better off asking what the advantages of the card were before you bought the powermac and added ?270 to the price?;)) No but, it means games wont suck now and will look rather nice (WoW/Doom3/UT2004/Halo ect). Enjoy.(Y)) Oh yeah and it supports Core Image and such (but so does the 9600) which means you get the ripple effects - they run a lot better. Good graphics card seems to help OSX's GUI along a lot.
