.swf as my signature ?

Recommended Posts

I want to have a .swf file (13.9kb) as my signature. I tried but i am not successful.

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" id="obj1" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" border="0" width="480" height="100">
	<param name="movie" value="http://www.blaise.us/storage/files/mohanneowin.swf">
	<param name="quality" value="High">
	<embed src="https://www.blaise.us/storage/files/mohanneowin.swf" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" name="obj1" width="480" height="100"></object>

Can anyone help me out. And onemore thing what is the max width/height for the signature.

Thanks

I don't think Neowin allows that, and for good reason. Next thing you know we'd have signatures with audio blaring stuff at us. I just want to read the posts myself, I don't really care about other people's egos. :)

The maximum dimensions for a sig are 170x550, as specified in the rules here.

Make sure your flash doesn't play sounds, either. Don't want people to suddenly have their speakers come to life just while browsing. ;)

I just don't get this whole Flash Sigs thing. Is an image not enough for you people? Dunno about the rest, but I see no point in .swf sigs, so I block them. It's not a matter of bandwidth for me, its just that most are annoying.
