Timelimit
hello, once again im trying to sort out some1 elses mobo. i just wanma see what every1 elses opinion is. The mobo in question is a slot 1 msi-6195. the problem is: originally purchased from time computers UK with 2x 128mb pc100 ram, one of these sticks is faulty. but if i put oin a different stick the machine will freeze up when it says "checking nv ram". im trying to put in a new 256mb pc133 stick. i thought ok, maybe its cos the mobo manual says pc100 ram is used, but if thats the case, why wont the damn machine boot up using only one of the original 128 sticks! i've emailed tech support at msi, but they seemed stumped and told me to take it back to the supplier. but time just refer me to their ?1 a minute support line first. i've nevere spoken to these guys personally, but theyve always been in the news and magazines about there retarded "erm..have u tried rebooting windows. ok u do that and we'll put u on hold" technical support:(( any advice you guys could offer? could it be some strange bios issue ? (im using the latest bios) or is the mobo f@cked? let me know guys:DD cheers i personally reckon the mobo is f@cked. any advice you guys could offer:DD
