Goverment racist?

This is for americans.

Why is it the goverment gives extra help to the miorties and the illegal citizens but gives no help to whites. (im not trying to be racist here just asking a question). For instance while reading in another thread african americans were bused out of boston to surrounding schools, but not whites or any other race just african americans. Also why is it that they get extra help when in need, while other races are left there and are not treated the same. There are plenty of whites that are in need yet they are left alone because of their skin color, while minorities are given groups such as the NAACP. For instance in construction you must have a certain number of minorities on a job, dont you find that odd? What if they dont work hard enough, while you have a white person on the side who works twice as hard as any of them for the same pay but cant be hired because of skin color. Where im going with this is that what we wanted to get awawy from where racial profiling, and being racist altogether but really they made it even more of a battle between races.

Once again not trying to be racist...

The Democrats need to perpetuate the Welfare state, which is actually consistent of many races, in order to keep themselves in power. As long as they're seen as the side who cares, the one's who help the little folk, they will continue to retain that voting base.

As for affirmative action, as you have pointed out, it's extremely racist. Once you base hiring practices on race and not qualifications, you've done more to create a racial divide than heal it.

I don't know anything about the busing situation to comment. Could it be that the areas that have had their kids bused out are all black schools?

As for the NAACP and other groups, the government had nothing to do with the creation of those groups. It was up to each group to create a civil rights organization for themselves. There are Irish and Italian equivalents to the NAACP. The last part is a hypothetical and can't be really commented. I can easily flip it around. As for the AA debate, it was started as a quick way to reach racial equality. It was just easier to just add a certain amount of people from each group, rather than make a concerted effort.

Oh, and the Republicans truly care about the citizens?

As for affirmative action, wouldn't this racial divide would be expanded if one race has a greater employment rate or better jobs, ensuring that classes would run along racial lines? However, I do question if it is needed anymore. Racism is so low that it is not likely that such a gap would occur or at least from what I can discern.

Ya which is why the majority of donation money and volunteer hours come from conservatives.

If you have a source for that, please show!

As for the Republican remark, I was referring to politicians, not individuals. Politicians who only care for remaining in office. Both sides of the political spectrum do so.

Mr. Adoni, I truly love reading your posts. It reminds me that there's a hell of a lot of work to do in this country.

Why is it the goverment gives extra help to the miorties and the illegal citizens but gives no help to whites.

Depends on the situation but for the most part, that's certianly the perception.

My own personal opinion is that way back when the Civil war ended, if all minorities were given equal rights instead of waiting till the 1960's we probably wouldn't be having this discussion.
