I don't get the whole promotion thing. Would it really change things for you? I personally see so many people kissing up to everything mods say that I think Id end up thinking nah I wont post because I'm not gonna get an honest opinion.

Id like to get to a point where I'm respected as a long time member but having a mod badge would do nothing for my life because at the end of the day this is an internet site.

We all need individuality or it becomes a yes man community. :)

I post here because I was reading it for years before I joined. I kind of like the idea of having a sharing community of information and ideas and neowin is 50% ike that. The "owned" posts cant continue forever can they? I'm sure I can out live them - hopefully lol

What a bunch of nice people we are. Everyone pat yourself on the back. :D

I like to help, be helped and learn something everyday and for that reason I choose Neowin.

With such a wide spread of backgrounds and ideas here on Neowin, there is always something to talk about.

Need my daily dose of Neowin. :p

Here's to the future of Neowin.

This comment pretty much reflects my feeling as regards Neowin! I lurked on Neowin for a least a year before I decided to join, at that time there were only 20 000 odd members, people were joining Neowin hand over fist. The site has grown tremendously but along with that has come an element that just post to see their post count get to some ridiculous figure in a very short space of time! These people actually do not contribute at all or have anything meaningful to say!!

I am here to keep the balance.

Far too many morons post here and I must even things out.

It's all about balance.

This is ALSO a "point of view" but one I MUST agree with! ;)

I post not to get promoted *puts on big smile for the mods and admins :D*:shifty:, but to either help people or express my pov, I also get tips from here which is very handy whenever I'm in a pickle .

I post to assist folks when I can. I also ask for technical assistance and usually receive great input!

The forums I frequent here are full of honest, mature, and well meaning people.
