nookadum
How can I get my Pagebar tabs smaller in the Windows Native theme, like the ones in some of Opera's menus? See attached image. I know you can edit the the skin.ini, but what section must I edit in order to make my tabs like that (with favicon, of course)?
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted September 23, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 23, 2005 Open the skin.ini file and search for the following [Options] Pagebar max button width = x Pagebar min button width = x change to whatever you like. nookadum
Err.. That's not what I mean't. :o I mean, how do I make them vertically smaller?
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted September 23, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 23, 2005 I don't believe you can. Opera draws the skin elements via internal code.
nookadum
So I can't make Opera's tabs as small as Firefox's (with the default skin)?
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted September 23, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 23, 2005 not if youre using the native theme. I you really want small tabs then try the breeze skin.
nookadum
It's not possible to modify the skin.ini of the native theme so that the tabs are smaller?
Lare2
http://my.opera.com/community/customize/comments.dml?id=2346 Maybe not what you are looking for, but what about that skin
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted September 23, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 23, 2005 That skin made all my opera toolbars go back  very weird. Plus the tab height is still the same size because opera draws it itself and as I said I don't believe it can be changed.

Hi alex, I haven't explored thoroughly but the 'skin.ini file' is not located within my profile... So going into the Opera Program directory: \Opera\skin directory---in here I have the following .zip files: standard_skin.zip windows_skin.zip I guess that there is a 'skin.ini file' within each one of these .zipped files? jp10558
I've seen various skins with shorter tabs, so I'm sure you can do it, but I believe that aspect may be image based, so you'd have to replace image files or edit them. I think you'll get better help asking at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/forum.dml?id=113.
+unabatedshagie Subscriber¹ Posted September 24, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 24, 2005 The native themes son't have any images which is why they are native. No images means theres nothing to change. @gahbmwM5 - the skin.ini is located within the zip files. Each skin has it's own skin.ini which details how the skin looks. Very good m8, as I will now keep these two files unzipped each into its own folder... :)
Denis W. Veteran Posted September 24, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 24, 2005 I decided to do a quick comparison. Seems like Opera's tabs are a few pixels (2 pixels) larger than FF:
