Matt T
Every time I'm on Neowin a window pops up telling me that "the operation timed out when attempting to contact ads.neowin.net". It's incredibly annoying because it pops up every 10-15 seconds, even after I've stopped the page from loading  I don't have any kind of adblock installed, I've tried clearing the cache and my cookies, and uninstalling hasn't worked either. This just started happening today - it was working fine yesterday. I'm using 1.0.7 without any extensions. Can anyone help?
Max Veteran Posted September 23, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 23, 2005 Its just the ads subdomain being silly. It does that here from time to time. It should just disappear.
biorK
I think their's some kind of problem with their ad server or whatever.. I got this to, although in Opera you don't get that annoying pop-ups :p Take a day off from Neowin and you'll see it will be working in the morning ;)
echo
i HATE those ads at the bottom of the page. it seems they are prime reality for websites to place adds there. On one forum I go to (which I don't anymore just because of those ads) the ads are videos and there are actual conversations that go on for about 5 minutes. It's annoying as all hell....i hope neowin NEVER does something that horrible.
