EzNoW
well they are not jumpers they are switches labeled 1 to 6 anyway if that helps anyone to help me :D
Keldyn
the cmos , if set to "clear" position will reset your BIOS to factory default settings. Any custom changes made by you will need to be re-done. You will need to use this feature if for example, you overclock to high and then can no longer boot. I hope you are not just changing switches at random. If you have the manual or a schematic of your mobo, consult that. Remember, the golden rule when overclocking. Small steps at a time ok?
EzNoW
yeah it has all the settings to use written on the motherboard. but i change to the next setting up which is 500 then boot nothin seems to happen maybe because i have 6 switches and the diagram shows only middle 4 used and has the 2 outside ones blank. so i wasnt sure whether to turn these on or off
Keldyn
Seems like a fairly old mobo. Could be that those four are for the FSB (front side bus) and the other two are for the multiplier clock? This was the case on a few boards i have owned in my time... I guess all you can do is experiment. I urge you to be careful however, as overclocking can be a risky business if you dont know what you are doing. Hardware can become damaged. The risk is not always worth it.
