ventrox
maybe depends on the price.... since microsoft products are pretty expensive.... i'm still with XP and pretty happy with it....

Caleb
I bought XP Pro, but I'm not making the same mistake with Vista. If Linux is a viable alternative at that point of time I will be switching to a distro using KDE4, if not then I'll "acquire" Vista :)
kevcart3
I'll use XP for gaming til I can't use it for gaming anymore, then I'll probably never use windows again...

Berto
Seeing that I'm probably going to get a new home pc sometime next year, I'll wait and see where Apple is on their development with the new machines they will be releasing and debate if I should go Vista or switch. The system will be for my wife but I'm sure she'll want Windows so....well, you know. ;)
Whiffle
Nevah!! Not as long as the one program I need in windows still runs in XP. And, if I EVER buy a whole new computer and stop upgrading this one...it'll be a Mac anyway.:D My computer would probably give me the finger anyway if I tried to run it. Guest TickleOnTheTum
I just don't see the advantage of Vista for users like my wife and I. We play The Sims 2 and The Settlers, WE use Word and PaintShop Pro, but after printing a letter it gets deleted not kept for eternity, what's the point?! We don't (and never will) use the PC for music or DVD/video. We don't store any photos on it. The fancy GUI looks cluttered, dark and ugly (to us) we use a Mac OS X Tiger Visual Style. We turn of all the fancy stuff like shadows and sliding menus as they are just gimmicks. The only point when we are likely to buy it is when say The Sims 3 somes out and will only run properly on Vista.
