NO!

I use roflmao (rolling on the floor laughing my ass off). My brother always uses roflmao but i never see him rolling on the floor or walking around the house without an ass!! :no:

LOL is often used as Lots of love (not by me).

I always use 'lol', even if I'm not laughing (or if it's a little chuckle). But if it's something actually hilarious (that I'm laughing for), I'll usually put 'LOL!!'

I don't really laugh out loud anyways... I kinda get this uncontrollable shake

but here goes:

lol= amused

LOL= grin, very amused, big exclamation of HA!

ROFLMAO!!!!= laughing out loud, or getting major spasms :pinch:

I don't think I've ever laughed out loud in my life. I laugh all the time, I just don't make a sound. I think it's because when I was little I was kind of shy and quiet so when I did laugh I tried to keep it to myself. Now all these years later that's still the way I laugh.

As far as using lol I usually do it just to be polite, when someone says something they think is funny (but really isn't). That's the great thing about the internet, you don't have to try faking a laugh like you do in person or over the phone. I especially hate phone conversations since as I said I don't actually laugh out loud so I have to try and fake it so I don't offend the other person.

A lot of people just say "lol" for the sake of the conversation... well, a lot of my e-friends do anyway. If it's really funny and I'm actually laughing out loud, then sure... "ROFL!" goes here and there. :p

lol to me usually means that I am either saying it for the sake of conversation, a little amused, and yes sometimes I actually laugh out loud. Its normally more of a "haha" except its quicker to write and grows on you. lmao generally means that I am laughing pretty hard in real life but I don't often bother with lmao or rofl because I try to use as few abbreviations and leet speak terms as possible on the internet. Of course, lol is one of my big exceptions there because I do tend to use it a lot.

If I Say 'lol' , I won't be laughing ... if something is actually funny enough that I'll laugh I'll use rofl or something like that ... i just say 'lol' for the sake of conversation
