UK lost ~ 305,000

US lost ~ 405,000

Anybody got enough time to put these as a percentage of the respective populations at that time? Think i might do a little research later.

infact dont worry i did it... and im not suprised to see he was wrong http://web.jjay.cuny.edu/~jobrien/reference/ob62.html what makes me the most sick is using these figures to brag about "our country is better than yours" look at the civilian casualties in those links and then bring it up about how hard it was for america (here to save the m#####f####n day yeah)

3) It's not silly, it's completely true. You American's act all liberal, but you are the most racist out of any other nation in the world. Why do you think you didn't attack until Japan got you? Well, pwned you really, sure you dropped a A-Bomb on the poor bastards but they destroyed your crappy navy.

Yes a lot of Americans are racist, but that must be expected in a country this big in area and population with such a drastic difference in ethnic background. Notice I said "expected" and not "accepted". Over here people hate because of race, but that's no different than rest of the world where people hate because of race, religion, nationalty, political belief etc.

And about the navy part:

In 1898, the United States destroyed the Spanish fleet in the Spanish-American War and emerged as the second strongest sea power in the world.

In World War II, it became the aircraft carrier, as proven when U.S. carrier-based aircraft dominated the Pacific and did much to cripple German submarine strength in the Atlantic. At the end of World War II, Germany, Italy, and Japan were stripped of their navies, Britain was economically weakened, and the United States emerged with the strongest navy in the world.

No. It just doesn't make sense to unite a country that is an ocean apart. I still don't get why all the American haters exist. It just shows complete ignorance to hate an entire country and its citizens because of a dislike of a single person - the President. Besides, we're all people and I'm sure our lives are a lot more similar than many people think.

Take your pick. They all say we lost more.

Populations at wartime:

UK ~ 47.5 million (.006% lost)

US ~ 129.2 million (.003% lost)

Soldiers in war:

UK ~ 5.9 million (.05% lost)

US ~ 16.3 million (.025% lost) = better soldiers maybe?

We could've sent more and fought the war ourselves if you guys couldn't handle it :pinch:

Since the British Army is the best fighting force in the world, they would quickly overwhelm the US military - who would probably be too busy killing each other due to friendly fire.

Ah, just do what I do: don't even read the posts that look in any way serious. Only read the ones that might be funny!

Ollie dont be an idiot. One guy on here has shown himself up and thats it. Practically every territory that belonged to the British Empire now has independance and most of em have done well afterward.
