My sister got one yesterday and I had a toy around with it.

1.8GB Space

Colour Screen

Stores Photos

Address Book

Calendar

Nice Volume

Small

I would say it was worth it. I need to get a bigger USB drive for college and I might get myself one of these. It has lots of space, plays mp3's. colour screen, small etc.

I like it, but I won't buy it. $250 for 4GB is pretty pricey, though I realise it's flash memory. Plus, there's that entire thread on the scratches... I would definitely considering buying the iPod nano if they released larger capacities and improved the interface material.

It seems Cool, But the fact that it scratches way to easy and its really worth less then the actually value, Kinda makes me Just not wanna Buy one til it gets really Cheap. I like the size of it tho and That it has a color screen.

I really like them, but a little too pricey for that amount of space. I would just buy an iPod unless I specifically needed a small sized mp3 player. The scratches don't really put me off as all iPods are easily scratched, but I wish Apple would change the materials they used.

Apple should provide a better case with the iPod which lets you use the it while still protected (unlike the provided belt clip) they should replace that imo. Asking for an extra ?30 or w/e is asking too much.

Still just unsure about this... its a cool little device... but not cool enough for me to fork out the money for it.

Storage could be a little bigger to meet my needs... I don't think there is any MP3 player out there that really quite grabs my attention enough for me to want to buy one.

Can't honestly say whats missing that would make it more appealing but when it comes out I'll know.

Maybe a few more generations of these they might come out with something I'd buy but at the moment.. just not interested enough to hand the cash over.

i wouldnt buy it, although its extremely small. i would need a bit more storage & its way overpriced.

they get scratched so easily & i would think a case would just make it look chunky.

i'd get a iRiver h10

I haven't picked one up and played around with it yet but it seems like a nice little device. I don't think it should of replaced the iPod mini though - if Apple had given the mini's a colour screen and flash memory they would have sold a lot very very fast.

Looks nice, but it's overpriced. I was contemplating getting a couple of minis for myself and my daughter but Apple seems to have abandoned my interest in the iPod.

It's a truly fantastic device: clean, powerful, elegant... but rushed to market to quickly. I think we'll find that once the revision II comes out (as it will eventually) they will probably have dealt with the worst of the current issues: easily scratched, possibly not well sealed, etc.
