I grew a beard a few years ago and haven't looked back. I've always had problems with razor bumps (ingrown hairs). The level of maintenance required to maintain a beard is much lower than clean shaven every day. Plus, I think I look better a little hairy than covered in red bumps.

My recommendation? Go beard.

Like joekr said, don't grow a pre-pube beard, they look awful. And avoid the high schoolish pre-pube mustache-only look.

If your staying in London then don't grow a beard, some women like it but then their friends don't and they turn them off you lol Young guys with beards look like they want to look older in my opinion or are doing it to cover up something like spots. Decide once you have been at uni a while and remember first impressions count.

Funny thing is my wife made me grow a beard, she loves them. Mind you not a full grown out of control beard. If women hate beards then why are these men considered sexy by women. Because it gives that rough, tough, and rugged appearance.

I would say grow a beard. But don't let grow out of control and be a mop or something, keep nice and trimmed. I started growing a beard a few weeks ago and it felt better. I gotties or a mostash only or any other crappy stuff. For me, it's whether shave it all or grow it all.

hmm, you could try growing for several weeks (2-3) and see if it looks cool. if u dont like it just shave it :D

once i was lazy to shave for entire summer, man it was huge! i looked like an old man, and decided that i look much better w/o it.

usualy shave every 2 days.

That what I look like (if I understand the terms) most of the time.

I tend to share it off every week and let it grow back.

I don't like it if it gets too long, too thick or out of control in any way.

Nah, only the 'mad mullah' out of control beards that are used to store last nights dinner. A bit of manly stubble is usually very acceptable, providing it is manly and not boy-ly.

Well if someone lets their friends dictate who they are allowed to like and dislike, then they are too pathetic to waste your time on.
