Elliot B.
Never done either (I live in the center of the UK) but snowboarding has more of a 'coolness' factor about it.

christofferdokakis
Maybe Im oldfashioned or something, but I never really understood the fun with snowboarding.. Maybe for you guys thats skateboarding during summer has this as some kind of winter activity or something, but for me it will always be skiing.. Personally I think you can do pretty much the extreme stuff in skiing as with snowboarding, not that Ive tried anything realle "extreme", but going off pist making nice jumps make my adrenaline squirt out of my ears.. leesmithg
Never done either, being a 70's skateboarder kid I would go for snowboarding, it's more suitable to working class scum like me.

Axel
Skiing, baby! Not tried snowboarding yet but I might do one day. I like having the free movement of my feet with ski's, snowboarding just seems a little less conveniant!
stncttr908 Veteran Posted September 30, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 30, 2005 I've heard about a lot of famous people dying on skis (Sonny Bono, Michael Kennedy, etc.) but never anyone on a snowboard. Snowboard it is!

Edit:skiing  until I can do a jump on snowbored and land it.
revvo
Once you get the hang of Snowboarding after falling a bunch of times and finding a way to balance yourself, it's loads of fun.
