The_Rain_King
not too sure about this. what is a standard temp for an athlon xp 2200? mine is reporting 37C? not sure what to think of this. thought, opinions? thanks
nohoy
if thats a correct reading its pretty good, ill assume you are on air too and that means its really good. so dont worry about that. when you get up to like 60 degrees celsius id say thats the time to start worrying
Rudy
mine is around 50 all the time

The_Rain_King
thanks, i really freaked out when the utility said it was 37C or 103F. seemed hot to me.
s0ldats
that's a great temp....what kind of case / hsf do you have?
daoutlawz
if your not running a REALLY GOOD hsf, and your cpu is not the new one that AMD just introduced (i think it was the 0.13micron Thoroughbread???, correct me if im wrong)... then it actually could b a fault in your mobo, so b carefull and try to use some other means of testing the temp. without using the mobo sensor, somefin like a multimeter?? (im not sure jus suggesting) btw my 1800+ runs at ~52 with a standard HSF.. my mates 1600+ runs at ~45 with a standard HSF.. and in my field of work, ive never seen a xp2200+ run at 37c with a standard HSF. so jus be carefull. Amadeke
The temp of my 1500+ is 39?C I run a Zalman 6000CU in a Coolermaster 201MX I run VCool & Coolmon to check on a MSI K7T266 MoBo. The temp of my AMD used to be 52?C in a Aopen HQ45 with a Volcano 6. So cooling is not only the proc.cooling :-)

username
sorry, no Athlon or P4 runs at 30C room temp unless your room temp is around 15C, also did you even think that the software that you use to check your temps is misconfigured it is physically impossible to have the motherboard temp cooler than the CPU temp, you are wrong
Chris123NT
yeah check the software cuz not even water cooling can get a cpu down that much (Well it sometimes can but not under full load)
