sutthichok
it would be this one .. sowwie, this thing doesn't really have a product number -- i think. (also, i don't have it around right now..) http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0,10000...-132156,00.html
sutthichok
according to this KB from microsoft, i'll have to find a new webcam for XP (?!?!) http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/ar...s/Q307/0/80.ASP [ s: snip ] CAUSE This behavior can occur because 3Com no longer supports this device and no Windows XP drivers are available. Therefore, the device does not work under Windows XP. [ e: snip ] :ermm:
evilspider
3Com barely made drivers for this under win2k! The product was only out a matter of months and the pulled it from the product range. Unfortunately I purchased two cameras during this period. Pity... they are actually pretty good cameras.
configure Veteran Posted November 2, 2001 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2001 I did some quick poke over at 3COM site earlier, and I've found out that they've decided to drop support for this product. But I'm not entirely sure because I don't know if the product number matches your or not. Try look around here: http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/downloadsindex.jsp G'luck :D

evilspider
Well guess what? a bit of searching revealed that 3com sold the HomeConnect camera from ViCAM. This product is still supported by the original manufacturer. http://www.vistaimaging.com/download.htm If you have more than one HomeConnect you can download the ViCAM MultiCAM Drivers which give you multiple video feeds and WinXP support. I am building a home video security system with this thing so it is perfect. Win2k/XP 3Com HomeConnect USB Camera drivers

Storm999
After searching high and low for a XP driver for this camera.Tried the http://www.vistaimaging.com/download.htm ViCAM6858.EXE Computer did like it Found another company rebranding the camera http://www.ionetworks.com/ Environmental Monitoring Watchport/V2 USB camera Downloaded that driver, installed and the camera came alive. Driver looks simlar but did not compare to the one from vistaimaging 585748362[/snapback] I've just attempted to do the second of the drivers above - probably me being thick, but I didn't get the options the driver said I would on installation..... It said to right click on my computer, click properties, device manager, sound vid and game, Watchport/V2, properties, driver, update driver..... This would be all well and good if I had a watchport/V2 under sound vid and game... Can anyone please help and show me where I'm going wrong - I have the files on c: Would really appreciate having the cam back working Thanks in advance Storm
