It snows a fair bit here in Halifax. Last year we had a crazy amount of snow fall for 2 weeks, so of the 10 days we could have school, it was cancelled 8 times.

I live in Cardiff in South Wales United Kingdom and it has not snowed here bad since 1997. The worst I can remember on record was 1981 when it snowed solid all-night and froze over during the night which meant you could not drive. There was no transport no trains running people had to walk to work if they could that is. We are very lucky here this part of the country because we do not get much snow.

Although this year might be a little different. I have a feely we are in for a bad winter this year and a very cold one as well.

Denver just had their first snow storm of the season. Pictures here. There was about 10" of snow 10 miles south of where I live, but nothing but rain for me, I lucked out.

In the winter it snows in Amsterdam but not as much as it used to, compared to 10/20 years ago.

Some people p*ssing off commuters by building a snowman on the tramrail.

  • 4 weeks later...

it has "snowed" once (about 2 feet of very fine hail) in Brisbane, but it has never snowed true snow, and it likely never will, as our climate is heating up here. :(

No, never. I misss it though. 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 Celsius) is great weather to me. The air is so crisp, and historically, I always meet chicks when it's cold. Which could explain my current cold spell in regards to women, on this tropical island.

Yes, about once a year here in Yorkshire, UK. When I was younger (in the early/mid 80s) we used to get loads, as I remember getting to sledge several times a year in inches of snow, now kids are lucky if they get that once a year.

Well in Ottawa, let's just say wait until Jan/Feb... then we are screwed... And I am too cheap to buy a bus pass to get to university, so biking in deep snow it is. YAY!

Here in Jersey City (Across the river from NYC) it snows from about Early November, to sometimes mid April. But this November started out warm, and by warm I mean in the 70's. Gotta love that global warming :p
