Os1r1s
Is the VR in Vista capable of affecting the system? (ie: you can say "Control Panel" and it goes there) 586619782 YES.
Os1r1s
Here's what I don't understand. I can have a cell phone that can understand every command in it's entire menu, and the names of everyone in the entire address book without any training whatsoever (Samsung A620), and a car that I can issue commands to like "Set driver temperature to 68, change radio to 103.5 FM, and find me the closest Chinese restaurant" also without any training whatsoever (any new Acura/Honda Accord with nav system, Lexus has something similar I think), but for computers we have to waste time training the damn things so that they won't listen to anyone but us? 586621169 lmfao! :p
Post-It Note
I know from a previous channel9 video about the Windows Audio group, they had a small part about multiple microphones so it could remove a lot of the noise. That's how it could improve speech recognition. "Computer. Tea. Earl Grey. Hot."
GrimReeper
Just imagine when the technology exists when we just have to think what we want and it works on the computer... i can't even put it into words how sweet that would be... 586620150 This technology does exist but isnt availible to the masses. This guy implanted a chip in himself and connected it to the computer through a cable which came out his lower arm. He was able to play a specially coded version of Tetris, all though the bandwidth from his brain to the computer was so crap they had to decrease the speed of the tetris game.(I cant wait till this evovles ALOT and fix bandwidth problems and it become availible to the general public) Here's what I don't understand. sunbiz_3000
I agree the voice recognition is really amazing. it required pretty less training although im an Indian and have a different accent than americans. So I kinda enjoyed it.... It was fun to command ur PC with voice like i do to my cell phone !!
