0 thingsforjason
almost sounds like you want to plaster the subtitles directly onto the video, like with anime subtitles...you'll need something like sub station alpha http://www.eswat.demon.co.uk/substation.html but of course, i could always be wrong. :)
0 VidER
MxxCon Thanks .. I am using a Guide already but have you done that before? cause I am stuck somewhere ! thingsforjason Yes Exactly .. I want to have the SUBs printed on the video.. and I have the Translation text .. the Program you have mentioned is used to translate movies.. I mean you will write your own subtitles.. But anyways have you tried doing that before? Printing Subs on the Video?
0 thingsforjason
so you've already got a .srt file...hmm...i've never printed anything on video (never had the need to) but you could still do it with substation. but why write them back onto a movie if you've already got them ripped? 0 VidER
thingsforjason yes I have the whole SUBs ripped and downloaded many programs that converts them to any format ( .sub, .ssa, .srt, .txt. etc ) . I couldn't find a feature to add the files to the movie in the substation, it just writes the subs .. I found that Virtual Dub does that but I got stuck in the last step (Frame Serving). Do you have any experience with that? Regrading your question, I have ripped the Subs from a DVD and I need to have them printed on an MPEG to save on VCDs.. 0 thingsforjason
hmm....check http://www.vcdhelp.com/ now that i think about it, can't you rip a dvd with the subtitles already on the screen? (maybe i'm wrong, but it kinda makes sense)
0 VidER
thingsforjason Thanks for the site.. I have tried that and almost all the guides on doom9, digital video, and after dawn! About DVD subs ripping, I don't rip them from the screen. I rip them from the sub files. in DVDs the subtitles are saved as images. So I Use a program called Sub Rip that has a built in OCR system to recognize the letters in the images and converts them to a text file. I will explain everything for you if you want here in NeoWin but I have to complete the last step first!
