Is eating fish bad for you ?

When I was growing up, I was led to beleive that fish is healthy. I'm not quite sure anymore with issues about mercury content, etc. I've been told that farmed fish is equally bad with the chemicals in their feed.

what do you think ?

The health benefits of eating farmed salmon once a month far outweighs the negatives. That being said, I prefer the taste of wild salmon and I tend to avoid farmed salmon.

Predator fish (tuna, marlin, swordfish, shark) should probably only be eaten once a month. Also lake-based sports fish (bass, pickerel, etc...) should probably be eaten in limited qualities. Tuna from a can is safe.

Generally, I try to buy non-farmed fish which I consider to be perfectly healthy.
