Plarkster Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I've got a Mac and Xbox connected to my PC via 2 crossover cables connected to 2 PCI NICs. The PC connects to a router wirelessly, but whenever the Mac or Xbox connections are enabled, I can't get on the internet. If I disable the Mac and Xbox connections the internet works fine again. dieterich Posted October 5, 2005 Share Posted October 5, 2005 I think your IP addresses are different. When connected via wifi, you'll have an IP address from router which will include a gateway address(a way out to the Internet). When the other clients are connected to the PC via a crossover, they are using an automatically assigned IP address that has no gateway.
