I'd say PowerDVD as well. It came with both my computer and my new Geforce4 ti4200 and it worked out pretty good. But if you have an nVidia graphics card then i'd be looking forward to NVDVD, that program looks awesome so far.

yeah, windvd 4.0 Kicks ASS. Powerdvd can't catch that yet and talk about features now (which i still don't even use that much) PowerDVD used to have tons more features than WinDVD but since 4.0 came out that's not even an issue anymore. WinDVD has better audio and video quality and everyone knows that.

www.digital-digest.com if you don't believe :) WinDVD 4.0 is better than PowerDVD XP. All the years they gave it to PowerDVD (except in video and audio quality) but now WinDVD takes it all.

I've always used power dvd since i first got my dvd drive back in march 2000. The dirve came with windvd 2 but i had trouble with it when i replaced my firmware with a region free one as i live in the UK and wanted to play US discs, so i got powerdvd 3, and current use powerdvd XP. But if win dvd 4 is as good as u say it is then i'm definately going to give it a try.

I use both WinDVD Plus 4.0 and PowerDVD XP 4.0... While PowerDVD XP 4.0 is good... like others mentioned, the volume is a bit on the low side. WinDVD Plus 4.0 has slightly better picture quality... I have both a SGI Widescreen LCD and a 43" Pioneer Plasma display ;) WinDVD also has reference volume levels comparable to a CD.
