No sound what so ever and tried all the driver updates from mobo manuf. and ms updates. Anyone have this board and have this prob? DigitalDJ Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 i have the same kinda problems with my laptop firstly did windows detect it? if it didnt its time to goto Control Panel then Add New Hardware if it has already u need to remove it then get out ur driver disk and install the NT4/2k drivers for it..if u dont have a driver disk try find a website on it :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
hunter1234 Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 Make sure the driver is supported, and see if windows xp detects it. i had a modem, and xp wouldn't detect it at all. if none of those work, upgrade to an actual sound card, cause an on board is *crap* no matter how you spell it. you can probably get an OEM Soundblaster live! 5.1 value on ebay for about $30. that ain't bad for a good sound card.
