LED Lights

Recommended Posts

just purchase standard led lights...then wire them in series to your power light (that way they are always on when your comp is on...) i don'e see any reall issues wth the power draw, seeing as how they are wired in series... then mount and enjoy...

(i am not liable if this in anyway harms your system :p) should work just fine...

LED lights barely waste any power, you can run at least 50 of them with 4.5Volts, just make sure you don't give them the default power that your PSU produces :s , unless they support that voltage, you will probably need a resistor to lower the power so that you do not blow them.

i am fairly sure that you can't blow your power supply with led's

by series i mean as opposed to parrallel

like so:

series:

(led)---(led)---(led)---(led)---(led)

parralel (the "=" means empty space:

=-------(led)------

=|=========|

-|------(led)-----|-------

=|=========|

=|------(led)-----|

=|=========|

=-------(led)------

you can use wires, a small useless circuit board, or just solder them together by bending the tips....

and to wire it to the power led, just break one of the wires going in or out of the led and solder to there.... and at the other end of the string, go back to that wire (i know this is "ghetto rigging", but hey, who wants it to look professional right...)

if you want super descriipt instructions with pics and such email me or IM me, i am just kinda busy atm so i couldn't help out oo much more.. sorry
