You can't overclock the 256k much model because it is older, try increasing the FSB to start. If you have a cheap mobo, that probably means you won't get above 1.9Ghz, especially with SDRAM.

Go into the bios and do it from there. Raise it a little see if its stable. Raise it till it won't boot then back it off, raise the voltage and try again :D

if u r like using the GIGABYTE mobo, use the software provided in your cd to overclock the FSB. then use ur bios (under frequency settings) to overclock ur core clock.

Why would you need faster than that?

Because he cant live the button down life like you, he wants it all. The dizzying highs, the terrifying lows, the creamy middles. Sure he may offend some of the blue noses with his cocky stride and musky odour. Oh, he'll never be the darling of the so called "city father", who clack their toungues, stroke their beards and talk about what must be done with this iCe_2x?.

I highly doubt that ECS mobo will even let you o/c and with SDRAM, you're not goin anywhere. Also note that you have a P4 1.8 williamette, not the 1.8 northwood (that has 512KB L2 cache and o/cs much better).

What I'm saying is that you're SOL. :p
