calidude
I need to access the task manager in Vista beta build 5231 because something is hogging a ton of my CPU resources, but when I type Ctrl + Alt +Del, it brings up a Switch User-type screen. :ninja: So I don't know how to access it and kill the offending process(es). Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)
Dr.Jones
ctrl-shift-escape ?
calidude
Got it, but it says that the offending process is rundll32.exe, which IIRC is an important one, so should I kill it or not?
Dr.Jones
if you don't kill it manually, you should restart the whole computer anyway. So it doesn't matter much
vertigosity
It gets used to run a lot of dialogs and control panelish stuff. Kill away, it won't cause you too much pain... probably ;)
