DFI LanParty Ultra-D nF4 sound driver

Recommended Posts

OK, I admit it, I messed up. I forgot to back up all of my drivers before I formatted. I found all of them except the audio driver.

DFI's sites ( http://www.dfi.com.tw/ , http://www.dfi.com/ ) are down, so I'm a bit SOL.

My board is a LanParty Ultra-D NF4. The included audio card (it's a little 1"x1" module that plugs into the mobo) is called a Karajan .

Does anyone know where I can find this driver? I've spent an hour searching Google, DriverGuide, etc... with no luck. Here's hoping Neowin comes to the rescue again.

Peace,

Pete Zaria.

Since DFI dropped any support for their fun LanParty motherboards (shame, shame DFI!),  to get audio working in Windows 7, 8 and 10 with the DFI Lanparty nf4  moboard,

  1. Go to the Realtek site and download the AC'97 Windows XP / Vista driver, http://www.realtek.com.tw/Downloads/downloadsCheck.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=14&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

  2. In Windows device manager right click the yellow exclamation entry under the Sound, video and game controller tree.  Select "update driver from my computer" and browse to where you unzipped the files on your hard drive.

10.5 year old post - thanks 1 post wonder....really.....thanks

I know people generally don't like resurrecting posts, however if you google "DFI LanParty sound driver" Neowin is the first result.

The info provided at least keeps the post relevant with up to date info, which is pretty nice for a first post.
