Can't say that I'm impressed yet... but it's not even BETA so I'm sure it'll turn out just fine. :) Up until Office 2003 it only got better and better so I have faith. :)

Don't really care too much how it looks as long as it does the job well. Looking forward to seeing it's final build and release :)

Looks interesting... May take a little getting used to! I use 2000 at work (except for Outlook, we have 2003) and 2003 at home and the differences are massive, going from 2000 to 12 (or 2006?) could be fun!

Excel seems to have a page layout view that I haven't seen before, this should save some time previewing files sent to me before printing as long as everyone uses this view!

Outlook looks very similar to 2003 apart from the RSS feeds. I wonder if they will finally change Outlook Today so you can view more than 7 days on the calendar.

The interface looks better than I expected, I may need a bigger screen though.

Those things I personally believe do not belong in Outlook, I would have preferred if they were left in the browser or and integrated in Windows Mail instead.

I like the new UI, but I'm kind of angry that Outlook's UI won't be changing. It's by far the program I use the most in Office, and the UI is great now, but a fresh UI is always nice.

Don't know if this has already been posted, but there a nice video interview with the Julie Larson-Green, lead manager of Office 12 on Channel9 where you can see Office 12 in action.

Yeah, i couldn't stand the new UI until i saw that video. I hope that they are making the new ui a standard throughout vista, so all applications can benefit from this new look and feel. Consistency between apps is important for the general public to understand how to use new software. Otherwise i just see many people getting very, very confused.
