has anyone used the 32 inch bravia?  I was thinking about getting this for the bedroom.

I've been using the 32" Bravia for about two weeks. The viewing distance from the screen to my eye is about 9 1/2 ft. This is ideal. Anything larger and I'd have to move my eyes from side to side to see all of the image ( very tiring ). I also wanted something that would fit into my existing entertainment cabinet.

I selected this model after two weeks of looking around at other models. In my opinion, it has the best picture of any other 32" LCD that I saw. My input source is a five year old Sony DVD player with an "S" video output ( no component output ). The picture is amazing. I tried using a Samsung upscaling DVD player with an HDMI cable for comparison, but the picture was no better than my old Sony ( maybe this is because the Bravia already upscales all imcoming images ). The blacks are rich and impressive. Sharpness, color, and detail is first rate.

I did not purchase this TV because of the name across the front. I would have been perfectly willing to purchase a Samsung, Panasonic, or any other brand if I felt it produced a better picture. In store after store, with lots of side-by-side comparisons, the Bravia simply looked better.

Price was not really my primary concern. I simply wanted to purchase the best 32" model that I could find. Price paid: $2,500.00 + tax from Circuit City in Dallas ( they price-matched Fry's Electronics ). I was not interested in purchasing from one of the on-line unauthorized dealers in case I had problems or needed to return the set. No burned-out or stuck pixels at all. Sound quality is average, but I'm running the audio output through my receiver/speakers and it sounds great.
