on the IDE pioneer drive:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)"

the plextor scsi:

Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)

the toshiba is there and it says its working. but its not vicible in "my computer".

also, the IDE drive shows up in the bios and is set to auto.

http://support.microsoft.com/search/previe...b;en-us;Q314060

Device Manager displays the following error Code 19 message, which means that the registry returned some unknown result:

Your registry might be corrupted. (Code 19)

delete:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

then reboot. problem solved. i had the same awhile ago :)
