Jazket
The leaked version didn't come with the Sidebar. That screenshot means two things: 1 - Or it is the leaked 5231.winmain.050912.2020, with the 5219 "modded" Sidebar. (I tried taking the 5219 files into the 5231 "leaked" version :pinch: and it doesn't work. That crap is buggy so don't mess around with that build.) 2- Or its the real 5231.winmain.x02-051004.2012, which actually would come with the Sidebar included. but, the guys from Hardware Geek got this screenshots like 2 weeks ago. So I wonder... was this 5231 build leaked and recompiled?, or is it the real October CTP???? :ninja:
mehve2
Is there a way to enable the sidebar in 5231 or is it not there like 5219? 586671806[/snapback] i've got it working. check my post: http://www.jcxp.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3097 and good luck
Jazket
i found the "windowscodeintegrity.luacdf" file in the folder, i just didnt realize i could be that :) nice work there mate ;) u got some skills :p the reason why it brings up the error I posted in a thread 2 days ago, should've been cause of this file... it may have the 5219 system catalogs information, which differs from the 5231 build.. (L337?) im pretty sure that as soon as you wipe that file out, it will create another with maybe the same name, but based on 5231 system information.... weird, ill try it tonite when I get home.... i might be all wrong as well (g33k?)....
noPCtoday
i wont use sidebar unless its official. 1. its a CRACK version, it stole form 4XXX to 5231. that means it must be very very very buggy. 2. non of the function it included r useful for me. 3. ugly. Jazket
1 - It is NOT STOLEN from any 4XXX. It's the 5219 Sidebar. 2 - Yes it's buggy, but if you're a Microsoft Tester, you should have reasonos to use it... 3 - No, do not use it. This is sidebar came with 5219 and the M$ Sidebar Team had a reason to not add it here... 4 - It is NOT CRACKED. NEITHER PATCHED. It's jsut the regular Windows Sidebar taken out of the 5219 Program Files Folder. It just works as soon as you add it in the 5231 Program Files Folder and delete a file that is somehow like an script from the 5219 (reason why it says that the image couldnt start from the system catalogs...) thats just all, but dont use if you dont want to
