hitchcock4
Question from a Vista newbie: So, about a year from now our company network would look like this: Servers: Windows 2003 Active Directory File/print server: 64-bit Windows 2003 Clients: 32-bit Windows XP and ??-bit Vista My question concerns the print server part. I know that a 64-bit system will require 64-bit drivers, including printer drivers. However, we will most likely need to keep some XP machines around for compatibility of certain programs. So, the PRINT SERVER would be a Win2003 machine (64-bit). Does that mean that all the clients that want to print through that server need to also be Vista 64-bit clients? :o And the XP Pro machines can't print to that server since they are 32-bit? Maybe someone who has a good understanding of this can explain it to me. Worst case: My 1 print server becomes 2 separate print servers (1 for 64-bit clients and 1 for 32-bit clients). Thanks!
