Gaijindesu.
If you could learn it INSTANTLY AND WITHOUT EFFORT which of these languages would you learn? oh, and if you're already bilingual/trilingual etc. please pick a new one (redundant but ya)
JohnMarsten
I already speak a few languages, but I'd definately go with spanish as my 5th
Jexel
Instantly and without effort i would vote for Chinese, been trying to learn it properly for years and just keep on forgetting. I'm really bad with languages. Yeah it would be nice to grasp the language for once.
blush
I was going to vote for Japanese, but I'm already learning it in school right now. Chinese received my vote instead.
Morgan
Either Japanese, Chinese or Italian. I know a little Chinese already, but I really want to learn Japanese the most so that's what got my vote :D
Kupo-Cheer
Japanese, at the very least so I could play import movies and games, and watch anime in its true, un-badlytranslated (yes I am aware that is not a real word) form. Of course, I know some very basic Japanese, and quite a bit of French, as well as of course English.

Diffused Mind
Japanese most likely. I already know English & Italian.
Evolution
Personally I'd go for Latin :) After all, that's where many of the languages today were derived, and it's very interesting on its own.
Solecs
Well, I really want to learn Japanese right now for mostly the same reasons as barcode, and I wouldn't mind picking up Latin just for kicks either. Voted for japanese though, since Latin isn't on there.
Richard Davison
I speak English, Spanish, and a lot of Italian, so I chose Japanese, because it's a language that I might actually be able to use. But there's no use in fantasizing, because you can't speak it if you don't know it.

dsteele_7
I know some french already but I put that because I do live in Ontario, Canada... Right along the Qu?bec border in fact, so if I want to be hird over other ppl or work in the Federal government at all then I really would need french fluency... plus I hate learning french so being able to skip the actual learning itself would be amazing... lol... Other than that though I would've said Japanese or Chinese... probably Japanese because supposedly it's harder for an english person to learn than chinese is so .. ya. plus Japan always has amazing electronics... then again that makes a good case for Korean too... Bwah! I'll just stick with the french lol

Symal Taneous
I voted Spanish. But now that I think about it, Chinese would probably come in handy in the near future too. I already speak English and French fluently, so Spanish wouldn't be that hard to learn anyways.
Ramble
I would love to learn Ancient or Goa'uld, but french would definatly be my third option, just to pass my damn GCSE.

GrimReeper
I would learn Hakka(dont know if I spelt it right) because the relatives on my Dad's side speak it and I think it would be awesome as its not spoken by the masses like Jap or English. Gaijindesu.
umm... "God" (Adonai) :s ... why would you have no desire to be bilingual? learning another language would open your world up like crazy. It seems pretty intolerant of you to not want to be. Are you saying you would rather have everyone adapt to you? The whole thing with this thread is that IT TAKES NO EFFORT. There is no way I would possibly be able to speak chinese, simply because I have a very difficult time fluctuating my voice to say a syllable 5 different ways, but I'd definitely learn it instantly if I could...
