You're suggesting it's the 1073 build that's preventing minimization? I thought all NeoWin users were running SP1 on XP :paranoid:

Actually I noticed several significant improvements installing SP1 beta, but I'm not going to get into that as this isn't a SP1 thread.

Speaking of new features anyone read the install info?

YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO INSTALL OR USE THE SOFTWARE UNLESS YOU HAVE SIGNED AND RETURNED THE "MICROSOFT LICENSE AND NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT FOR THE PRE-RELEASE VERSION OF MICROSOFT WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER v9" THAT FOLLOWS...

Looks like microsoft has given themsleves ammo to go after end users who install a leaked wmp9. (I think they are saving this for a rainy day so its all good.)

Be sure to use the new option, Emergency privacy lock, which you can set in the privacy tab under options.

That will keep your ip from showing up of you get mouse click happy and decided to try out the "subscriptions" feature.

I wonder if they will start including more legal loops like this to new betas. Not my fav feature. lol

As for the text it adds, havent had that happen to me at all. Using XP pro, have the taskbar play/minimize feature working fine.

Oh, a major bug, on the visualisations, as you right click to choose other visualisations, eventually, all of the choices are of the "Ambience" visulisations. In addition, I miss the lyrics window. overall, still buggy in places (damm install) but still a great player.

I love the minimise to tray function, it's so cool. At last, I can give up using Microsoft Windows media Player, version 6.4. By the way, I do not have Service Pack 1 installed.

Actually the ammo they needed was that they reserve all rights not expressly granted in their EULAS, but I guess this will shut up some of those "but it will be free so it's not illegal" people.
