Maya 4.5 for XP and OSX

Question

Windows New Features:

Maya Fluid Effects?

Now 3D artists have a fully integrated solution to one of the most difficult challenges in CGI: A wide range of fluids, encompassing both liquids and gases, can now be accurately modeled, animated and rendered in Maya. Examples include oceans, clouds, smoke, explosions, fire, nebulae, comets, mud and lava. Fluid Effects can also be used for logo treatments and the deformation of images.

Powerful modeling tools for all.

Both hierarchical and new fast non-hierarchical (smooth proxy) subdivision surfaces, together with industrial strength NURBS tools, and new polygon modeling tools, are now available in Maya Complete?. The ability to convert between all surface types -- including from subdivision surface to NURBS -- provides total geometry freedom.

Enhancements for games artists and programmers.

Maya 4.5 sees the most substantial enhancements to the API since Maya 1. You'll be amazed by the new snapping, polygon modeling and general workflow tools.
