herime
From: http://www.longhornblogs.com Sean Alexander, one of the awesome guys working on Windows Sidebar and the Microsoft Gadgets, was able to put online a screenshot of Windows Media Player 11 - different than the one we're seeing today in the October CTP of Windows Vista. Menge
anyone notice this? there's a difference in the Cleartype from the WMP11 UI (and taskbar icon) to the rest os the text on the taskbar. Notice that the text on the clock has the usual Windows XP Cleartype red/blue color decomposing (sub-pixel bla bla bla). Whilist any text related to WMP11 doesn't: the text in the UI, the text on the taskbar entry, the text on the icons that are overlayed by the window's glass effect. i REALLY hope that they move on to this new antialiasing mode (the one in WMP11) cause it looks drop-dead gorgeous :D

Denis W. Veteran Posted October 18, 2005 Veteran Share Posted October 18, 2005 (edited) anyone notice this?there's a difference in the Cleartype from the WMP11 UI (and taskbar icon) to the rest os the text on the taskbar. Notice that the text on the clock has the usual Windows XP Cleartype red/blue color decomposing (sub-pixel bla bla bla). Cleartype with Windows XP, in its current state, murders my eyes at times when viewing text on a CRT. On topic: this is probably the first version of WMP in years that looks anything like the OS's GUI. WMP7= barf! WMP8= not so much like Luna WMP9= own design WMP10= nice glass, but own design, and unless you're using a glassy VS it barely fits with the OS (i.e. Royale) Edited October 18, 2005 by rm20010
