ev0| Posted October 19, 2005 Share Posted October 19, 2005 Also, I read a book that is very interesting, so I can't post a link, but I didn't find some supporting links online about it here : http://www.panspermia.org/astronmy.htm Basically, they were looking at the interstellar dust that was eveywhere in space, and they found the the properties of the dust is exactly like that of bacteria on earth. So their theory goes that the bacteria is dormant (or dead) in space, but when it falls from space into a warm envionment (such as earth) it "awakens" and starts growing. This is how they believe life on earth began. The interesting side to this is that if it is true, and life originated in space, then other planets surely have been "seeded" as well.
