Posted By Bink on October 19, 2005 at 9:37 AM Microsoft today released a site to sign up for the MSN Messenger 8.0 Beta program. This next generation version Messenger will include Yahoo! integration allowing for users to talk to people who are on the Yahoo! IM client.

All you need to do to sign up is click the link below and insert your e-mail address into the box and click the buttom. You can change the last two letters on the URL to go to your specific language. You'll notice that the site is at the URL imagine-msn.com, which is owned by Microsoft. Microsoft will then e-mail people who signed up later this year with instructions on how to download the beta.

It has, and I signed up ONLY to get 2 of my suggestions though.

1: 3 Way Webcam!!!

2: Auto Update

edit: Anyone else in the beta please suggest these 2 features aswell. We need more FUNCTIONALITY and NOT more winks/nudge crap.

Yeah, doesn't work anymore... strange. Seems that Microsoft changed the link - they don't allow you to sign up for the beta yet.

I think I signed up while it didn't redirect the link to somewhere else, but I doubt it's going to work...

We'll probably have to get it through connect.microsoft

Does anybody know when Yahoo is going to launch a beta of their IM with MSN integration? Because if I can use only my Yahoo account and simply add MSN contacts, I'm deleting my MSN account for good!

Eww Yahoo.

But seriously, who the hell actually uses Yahoo? AIM with MSN would be alot better. All of my friends from the US use AIM, and all of my Canadian friends use MSN.

And you think US and Canada are the world? Sorry mate, but there's more people on earth than you can think of.

I'm from Romania and everybody I know uses Y!M ... so do my friends from Germany, France, Italy and Spain... so that could make me think no one uses MSN and that MSN is not good at all?

But wait ... US and Canada are the world and I don't have the right to speak. (sorry for disturbing you)
