Weird graphical glitch

Question

K whenever I play Half Life in:

OpenGL - This happens:

gfx.jpg

Direct3D - SUPER SLOW!!

I tried reinstalling newer and older versions of DirectX

I tried reinstalling newer and older drivers. What's going on?

I got a Riva TNT M64 video card (I know it's crap, but I'll have to live with it for a while longer)

Any ideas???

Yes and yes. My drivers are all up-to-date and I have the 1.1.1.0 version of Half-Life

actualy that could be your trouble..

i have gf2 and my experience with all new drivers have been pretty bad. i'm sticking w/ 23.11 for now.

perhaps you should try to find even older drivers..about time when gf1 was released

did you always have this prblm?

I dunno what it is... I formatted and it worked fine for a while. Then I dunno what I installed, but it started happening... anyone know of any diagnostic software or something that could help me pinpoint this mess? It's really bugging me.

I figured it out and I'm ticked off about it.

See the bar on the bottom of my screen? I had it set as Always on Top... so i turned off that option and problem solved :dead:
