TDQuiksilver
I was pricing around on NewEgg.. as I will be building a somewhat cheaper system for a friend. I noticed that the Gigabyte and Biostar motherboards were fairly low priced, especially for DDR boards. Does anyone have experience with these boards and know how they run? Im looking to get him the Gigabyte over the Biostar.. but I'd like to hear from experienced people and their throughts. Thanks in advance!
Sparticus
Well this may not be an answer your looking for but as far as my experience goes i have never had a board as good as an EPoX. They are great and pretty cheaply priced for the lower end DDR boards.

Deckhand
i gotta gigabyte 7vrxp, ive had some issues, but a BIOS flash solved my problems.. I was having some problems with CS crashing on me, but i Updated to the F6 or higher bios, and my problems are solved. other than that its a great board with a DUAL BIOS chipset. DDR 333, pc2700 and its very reasonable, toms hardware gave it the best rating. I have it running raid, and everything is smooth.. Its real nice, i enjoy it. Sentinal
I'm running the Gigabyte GA-7VRX .. runs perfect! My mate has the EPoX 8K3A and he says its wicked too, and another one of my mates has the ASUS A7V333 and he says it kicks ass.. So I'm thinking any of these boards is perfect.. After reading up on some review sites, if you are going for the AMD 2200+ Thoroughbred chip they recommend to use a board that has Thermal Protection rather than one that doesn't.. And from what I hear the ASUS has thermal protection however the Epox and Gigabyte boards do not..
